When traveling to Iceland in 2016, I was impressed by the sheer variety of landscapes on such small country. From black beaches in the south, rugged fjords in the east, martian and moon-like sceneries in the north, lush cornfields in the west and majestic waterfalls all over the island. From my perspective as a food photographer, this series was born from the idea of connecting to the diversity of these unique landscapes with still life images, by combining colors and shapes with the food that’s either found or consumed in Iceland. The project is an ongoing collaboration with food stylist Michelle Diamond, who, like me, fell for its beauty when she first set food on the island.
